do we still insist on performing this procedure. And the average
botch rate for Dr performed circumcisions is 11%, Mohel's have
a lower rate at just 1% (so obviously it is safer to use a Mohel).
These are rates for serious botches, not just small problems like
my husbands, but problems such as post op infection, penile
amputations, excessive blood loss, excessive skin removal
resulting in an inability to acheive erection, uneven skin
removal resulting in painful curved erections, hidden penises,
nephrosis of skin (this is exclusive to the plastibell circ
method) and death.

Habe vor längerer Zeit mal gelesen (weiss leider nicht mehr genau wo, war
eine französische Aerztezeitschrift), dass laut einer Studie mehr Knaben
an Beschneidung bzw. nachträglich auftretenden Komplikationen sterben (in
absoluten Zahlen) als Mädchen beschnitten werden. Das muss man sich mal
auf der Zunge zergehen lassen ...
